Work with Jonathan the Tutor!

Children and adults alike struggle with test anxiety—but it doesn't need to be that way! Improving one's score on a test not only means being familiar with the subject material, but it also requires the right pacing, problem-solving strategies, and test-taking skills. In 10 years as a professional tutor, Jonathan the Tutor has helped more than 500 students prepare for the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GED, and GRE.

Our daughter’s PSAT was 1200 and her final SAT test score was 1340, which exceeded our expectations! We are very grateful to Jonathan for his hard work, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to other families that are looking for an exceptional SAT/ACT tutor.

About me

I’m Jonathan Reidenouer, B.S., M.Ed.

Fifteen years of teaching and tutoring has taught me many things, but one of the most important is this: few people are capable of self-teaching.

Many will attempt it, but they struggle with assimilating and integrating the information they read. Even when prepackaged videos are available, plenty of folks still find they’re just not grasping the concepts the way they had hoped. As they read and listen, they find themselves filled with questions about the material—questions that go unanswered.

As an experienced tutor, I answer those questions. For those prepping for tests, I provide the coaching that fills in the gaps left by self-guided preparation.

Coaching goes beyond just guidance and instruction, though. It also includes support in the form of encouragement and feedback. A test-prep coach can answer questions right away, thus enabling the client to move forward in their preparation. A coach is a teacher and a tutor, but a coach should also be someone the client can lean on throughout the prep process.

Hate math?

Let’s do something about it!

Mathematics is often confusing and boring, but it’s not some mysterious subject that only a few can comprehend. As with any discipline, practice leads to proficiency, and that practice needs to be guided by an expert. No one gains mastery in any subject without guidance.

The problem for many people is that they were only told what to do, but never told why to do it, and others were never presented with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process.

I can help you unlock the mystery of mathematics and get you on the road to comprehension.

Work with me

Private tutoring

I conduct lessons online using a web-based platform with a whiteboard. Lessons may be recorded for students to watch at any time. I also keep detailed notes of each student’s progress and homework so we can pick up where we left off at the next lesson.

College application essays, English class essays, and even papers for philosophy class—I’ve edited them all.
